Meet the Sun Herald All-South Mississippi Girls Soccer Team for the 2025-26 season
South Mississippi produces some of the top girls soccer talent in the state, and another strong year for Coast teams proved that fact.
Three South State champions arose from the area in St. Patrick, Long Beach and East Central. The Lady Irish came away Class I champions, helping earn coach Angela McClure our Coach of the Year honor.
Underclassmen rule the top honors as Bay High’s electric sophomore Kamryn Lafontaine is our Player of the Year and East Central freshman Lucy Myrick takes home the Fan’s Choice Player of the Year.

Sun Herald Player of the Year
Kamryn Lafontaine, Bay High
Bay High’s super sophomore was one of the top scorers in the state. Lafontaine scored the third-most goals in Mississippi with 48, despite missing five games.
Adding her 16 assists, Lafontaine finished second in the state in total points. Her numbers lead every player from her class in the state. She helped lead the Lady Tigers to the 4A state championship game.
Fan’s Choice Player of the Year
Lucy Myrick, East Central
Myrick was one of the Coast’s top scorers as a freshman. The striker scored 31 goals on the season and assisted on another 17. Myrick helped lead the Hornets to a South State championship and a spot in the 5A title game.
She earned 51% of the fan vote. Kamryn Lafontaine and St. Patrick’s Bella Jordan finished second and third, respectively.
Coach of the Year
Angela McClure, St. Patrick
McClure guided the Lady Irish to their fourth consecutive state championship and her second in a row as head coach. She helped secure a perfect four-year stretch for her 11-girl class of seniors.
St. Patrick had a dominant run through the postseason, outscoring opponents by 22 goals and finishing with shutouts over Our Lady Academy and St. Andrew’s.
Sun Herald All-South Mississippi Girls Soccer Team
AJ Labat, Bay High: Labat provided the Lady Tigers with 18 goals and 12 assists as a freshman.
Lucy Stevens, Bay High: The sophomore contributed with 10 goals and 13 assists this season.
Raelyn Adam, Bay High: The defender was a member of the Coast vs Central All Star Game after scoring seven goals and dishing 18 assists.
Brooklyn Borja, Bay High: Borja worked 10 shutouts and 19 wins from the net as the Tigers’ goalkeeper and allowed just 18 goals in 26 games.
Jolee Shaver, Biloxi: Shaver led her team in goals as a sophomore with 21 while also assisting on 11 more.
Claire Byars, Biloxi: The Mississippi Gulf Coast C.C. signee scored 15 goals with 10 assists as a senior captain and MAC All Star.
Avery Lofton, Biloxi: Lofton was also a senior captain and MAC All Star after scoring 20 goals and leading the Indians with 28 assists. She is continuing her career at Holmes C.C.
Carly Blake, Biloxi: Blake is a Coast All Star goalkeeper with 17 shutouts and only three goals allowed in 12 region games.
Savannah Hoak, East Central: The three-sport athlete scored 21 goals and picked up assists on four more.
Landry King, East Central: The junior scored 12 goals with eight assists. She scored in the 5A state championship game.
Addy Chavez, East Central: Chavez was a key part of the East Central offense, scoring 11 goals and assisting on 10 more.
Ella Wert, Gulfport: Wert scored 17 goals for the Lady Admirals with six assists added.
Denya Keyes, Gulfport: Keyes earned team MVP as an eighth grade goalkeeper, recording 15 shutouts in 24 games.
Juri Meagher, Hancock: Meagher is a Mississippi Gulf Coast C.C. commit who led the Hawks with 14 goals and seven assists.
Hailey Breland, Hancock: The sophomore Lady Hawk scored 10 goals this season.
Kaydence Cook, Long Beach: Cook scored 22 goals with eight assists and was named the Offensive Player of the Game at the Coast All Star game.
Dillyn Biancamano, Long Beach: Biancamano helped the Bearcats to a South State title with 20 goals scored and 11 assists.
Marlee Levens, Long Beach: Levens was a key defender for the Bearcats and will be continuing her career at Pearl River C.C.
Maylee Levens, Long Beach: Maylee also helped anchor the Long Beach defense and is signed to play Jones College.
Adalyn Snell, Pass Christian: The junior led the Pirates with 23 goals scored and assisted on 13 more goals.
Amelia Coolidge, Pass Christian: The Pirates were one of three Coast teams with multiple 20-goal scorers thanks to Coolidge, who had 20 goals and 18 assists.
Taylor Hartzler, St. Martin: Hartzler is a senior captain who scored 27 times and contributed 10 assists for the Lady Jackets.
Brianne Sanders, St. Martin: Sanders found net 19 times during the year and led her team in assists with 11.
Bella Jordan, St. Patrick: Jordan helped lead the Lady Irish to another title behind 37 goals and nine assists. She is a Holmes C.C. commit.
Gianna Encrapera, St. Patrick: Encrapera finished second on the team in total points and is signed to play at Mississippi Gulf Coast C.C.
Madilynn Bentz, St. Patrick: A key defender for the Lady Irish, Bentz was an All State centerback as a junior.
Kirra Schmall, West Harrison: Schmall led her team in total points as a freshman, scoring seven goals and assisting on five.
