Vote for the Mississippi Coast all-sports Athlete of the Week for March 16
It’s time to find the Mississippi Coast’s newest athlete of the week.
As always, you can nominate any athlete for an upcoming poll by sending their name, sport and stats from the seven days immediately preceding the day of the next poll to sports@sunherald.com. Do not send your vote via email as it will not be counted.
This week our nominees feature players from Bay High, George County, Ocean Springs, Pascagoula, Poplarville and St. Stanislaus.
This is not a scientific poll, and you can vote as many times as you’d like until voting ends at noon Monday, March 23.

Adam Rugg, Biloxi baseball: Rugg had seven hits, including two doubles and drove in six runs across three Battle at the Beach wins.
Londyn Ford, D’Iberville softball: Ford earned three pitching wins during the week, the first a five-inning two-hitter against Pascagoula with five strikeouts to zero walks.
Kalli Slade, Hancock softball: Slade had a day to remember in a thrilling 15-14 win against Center Hill, batting a perfect 6-for-6 with three runs scored.
Willie Sims, Pascagoula baseball: Sims pitched five innings in relief during a win against Independence, striking out 10 batters and allowing just three base runners.
Lauren Bosarge, Resurrection softball: Bosarge registered three hits, a double, a triple and five RBIs in a win against Our Lady.
Ayden Dartez, St. Stanislaus baseball: Dartez had three hits, two doubles and four RBIs in a win over St. Patrick. He sent home seven runs during the week.
Cameron Sandel, West Harrison baseball: Sandel had six hits during the week with five RBIs while also pitching nine innings with seven strikeouts and zero runs allowed.
