Five teams battled to bring a state soccer title home to the Mississippi Coast in the MHSAA soccer state championships in Jackson this past weekend.

The East Central girls hit the field first, falling to Florence 4-1 in the girls Class 5A championship game.

Bay High was second out of the gate, falling to New Albany in the boys Class 4A championship game, 3-0.

Long Beach suffered a 2-0 to Saltillo in the Class 6A girls final.

George County would lose to Center Hill 1-0 in the boys Class 6A championship game after an early goal proved to be the only score of the game.

Biloxi would end the night with their historic season coming to a close as they lost 2-0 to Madison Central in the boys 7A championship game.
