It’s our first all-sports poll of the year and comes with an extended voting period. You can nominate any athlete for an upcoming poll by sending their name, sport and stats from the seven days immediately preceding the day of the next poll.
This week our nominees feature players from Bay High, Christian Collegiate, Gulfport, Harrison Central, Ocean Springs, Pass Christian.
This is not a scientific poll, and you can vote as many times as you’d like until voting ends at noon Monday, Dec. 8, at sunherald.com.

Tahj Hill, Christian Collegiate boys basketball: The Bulldogs’ guard poured in 26 points on 12-of-18 shooting in a win over Laurel Homeschool.
Cooper Crosby, Gulfport football: Crosby rushed for 188 yards and four touchdowns in the 40-7 South State championship win over Brandon.
Jasen Pace, Harrison Central boys basketball: Pace recorded a double-double in a 55-45 win over Gautier with 21 points, 17 boards and 4 blocks.
Starr Jackson, Ocean Springs girls basketball: Jackson scored 19 points with 4 steals and 3 assists for the Greyhounds in a win against Bay High.
Landon Hall, Pass Christian boys basketball: The standout forward earned MVP at the Thanksgiving Hoops Challenge with a 20-point, 8-rebound performance against Callaway.
