Second straight 300-yard rushing game for Picayune star leads Week 9 standouts

These were the top performers of Week 9 on the Coast.

Gabe Millender, Gautier: Millender made 10 stops, three tackles for loss, two sacks, broke up a pass and picked off another in a 28-27 loss to Hancock.

Branden Gautier, George County: Gautier picked up 156 yards rushing and two touchdowns in a 42-21 loss to Hattiesburg.

Cooper Crosby, Gulfport: Crosby used nine carries to pick up 130 yards and two touchdowns in the Admirals’ 35-0 win over Biloxi. He also caught seven passes for 59 yards and one score.

Andre Peters, Gulfport: Peters led all tacklers with 12 stops and two tackles in the backfield. He broke up one pass and recovered a fumble.

Kaison Koenenn, Hancock: The dual threat threw for 175 yards and a touchdown and piled up another 105 on the ground with three more scores.

Jayden Dekle, Hancock: Dekle led the Hawks with 10 tackles, broke up two passes and made two interceptions.

Ke’Adrian Brown, Harrison Central: The sophomore caught nine passes for 130 yards and a touchdown during the Red Rebels’ 50-13 loss to St. Martin.

Caleb Russell, Harrison Central: Russell completed 17 of 24 passes for 212 yards and two touchdowns.

Junior Brown, Long Beach: Brown recorded 143 all-purpose yards with one receiving touchdown in a 42-7 loss to Picayune.

Lando Cato, Moss Point: Cato led the Tigers with 16 tackles, one sack, 2.5 tackles for loss and a fumble recovery in a 35-3 loss to Greene County.

Solomon Baggett, Ocean Springs: Baggett recorded another 200-yard game, picking up 203 yards and four touchdowns on 10 carries in a 55-21 win over West Harrison.

Sharroid Whitehead, Ocean Springs: Whitehead tallied 101 all-purpose yards through 73 yards receiving and 28 yards rushing.

Amarie Jackson, Pascagoula: Jackson covered 193 yards rushing and scored three times on just four carries in a 42-0 win over Pearl River Central.

Sean Norvell, Pascagoula: Norvell rushed 14 times for 111 yards and one touchdown for the Panthers.

Amarie James, Pass Christian: James caught five passes for 107 yards and one touchdown in the Pirates’ 28-7 win over West Marion.

Xavier Dennis, Picayune: The junior exploded for 375 rushing yards and four touchdowns in the win over Long Beach. Dennis has 715 yards rushing in just the last two games.

Trac Smith, Poplarville: Smith threw two touchdown passes and rushed for two more scores in the Hornets’ 48-7 win over Lawrence County.

Ian Magee, Poplarville: Magee made nine tackles, two tackles for loss, forced two fumbles and recovered one.

Seth Crockett, St. Martin: Crockett ran for 124 yards and four touchdowns in the Yellow Jackets’ win over Harrison Central.

Dawsen Sullivan, St. Martin: The freshman completed three of four passes for 56 yards and a score and rushed for 126 yards on 11 attempts.

Jayden Curtis, St. Martin: The Ole Miss commit made four tackles, one sack, one interception and caught a 14-yard touchdown pass.

Ayden Green, Stone: Green gained 103 yards rushing and scored the go-ahead touchdown in a 30-23 win over Vancleave.

Jayden Collins, Stone: Collins picked up 101 all-purpose yards between seven receptions and six carries.

Kyle Capers, Vancleave: Capers carried the ball 26 times for 152 yards and two touchdowns in the loss to Stone. He also returned a punt 75 yards for a score.
