Career day from D’Iberville star highlights the best of Week 8 on the Coast
These were the top performers of week eight on the Coast.
Jordan Walley, D’Iberville: Walley completed nine passes for a career-high 301 yards and four touchdowns in the 46-10 win over St. Martin. He also ran for 89 yards and another score.
Jamil Brown, D’Iberville: Brown recorded 11 tackles and recovered a fumble for the Warriors’ defense.
KJ Washington, D’Iberville: Washington corralled his state-leading 12th sack, blocked one kick and recovered a fumble.
Keon McNeil, Gautier: The freshman completed 25 passes for 223 yards and a touchdown in a 17-14 loss to Pearl River Central.
Kasin Thomas, Gautier: Thomas posted career highs in catches and yards with 11 receptions for 130 yards and one touchdown.
Gabe Millender, Gautier: Millender led the Gators’ defense with 13 tackles and one sack.
Branden Gautier, George County: Gautier toted the ball 29 times and picked up 131 yards with one score in a 30-6 win over Hill.
Parker Nettles, Gulfport: The senior completed 19 of 22 passes for 220 yards and three touchdowns in a 42-14 win over West Harrison.
Cooper Crosby, Gulfport: Crosby totaled 167 all-purpose yards and scored three rushing touchdowns for the Admirals.
Andre Peters, Gulfport: Peters led the Admiral defense with 14 tackles. He made one stop for loss, forced and recovered a fumble.
Kaison Koenenn, Hancock: Koenenn completed 18 passes for 294 yards and three touchdowns in the Hawks’ 59-28 loss to Picayune. He added 92 yards and one score on the ground.
Bryson Thompson, Hancock: Thompson caught four passes for 104 yards and one touchdown.
Jarrad Loper Jr, Pascagoula: Loper set the school’s all-time tackle record Friday by recording his 259th career stop during a 47-14 win over Long Beach. He also threw for 105 yards and a touchdown.
Sean Norvell, Pascagoula: Norvell picked up 178 yards on the ground and one touchdown.
Paris Trivillion, Pass Christian: The Coast’s leading passer threw for 153 yards and three touchdown passes and ran for 118 yards and two more scores in the Pirates’ region-clinching 49-0 win over Moss Point.
Kendall Morrison, Pearl River Central: Morrison caught five passes for 131 yards and a score in the win over Gautier.
Titus Feaster, Pearl River Central: Feaster was responsible for both Blue Devil touchdowns, threw for 159 yards, rushed for 79 yards and tallied 20 return yards.
Qorday Russell, Pearl River Central: Russell launched three punts, averaging 35 yards per and dropping all three inside the 20-yard line.
Xavier Dennis, Picayune: Dennis needed only 16 carries to rack up 340 yards rushing and three touchdowns against Hancock. The junior also caught two passes for 69 yards and another touchdown.
Jordan Hathorne, Picayune: Hathorne recorded 104 all-purpose yards and two rushing touchdowns.
Jamari Hathorne, Picayune: The younger Hathorne made four stops, broke up three passes and grabbed one interception.
Ty Keys, Poplarville: Keys used 22 carries to gain 217 rushing yards with three touchdowns in the Hornets’ 62-24 win over South Pike.
Trac Smith, Poplarville: Smith was responsible for three touchdowns, throwing for two and rushing for another.
Liam Richards, St. Patrick: Richards caught two passes for 124 yards and two touchdowns and ran the ball 14 times for 68 yards and two more scores in the 38-21 win over St. Stanislaus.
Kyle Capers, Vancleave: Capers ran for 93 yards and a trio of touchdowns in a 41-30 loss to Wayne County.
