South MS high school football Week 5 scoreboard: High scores include a 63-point first half
The Coast’s highest classification began the real part of its schedule this week.
District play kicked off with three games between region rivals. Ocean Springs hammered Biloxi on homecoming, D’Iberville demolished Harrison Central, and West Harrison survived St. Martin’s late charge.
Gulfport was the lone team out of R4-7A not joining the party until next week. The Admirals did make a statement, though, pounding Pascagoula in a game between two programs that have gotten off to disappointing starts.
Also of note, Vancleave exploded out of the gates Friday, putting up 63 first-half points on its way to a win over Moss Point.
