Best of Week 3: Poplarville star’s jaw-dropping night among tops in Coast history
Here are the top performers from week three on the Mississippi Coast.
Jordan Walley, D’Iberville: Walley completed eight of nine passes for 187 yards and one touchdown in a 49-21 win over Seminary. He also added two rushing touchdowns.
KJ Washington, D’Iberville: Washington made eight tackles, five tackles for loss and one sack.
Caleb Estrada, D’Iberville: Estrada totaled eight stops with three in the backfield, including one sack.
Kaison Koenenn, Hancock: Koenenn threw four touchdown passes and rushed for another three in a wild 60-54 loss to Poplarville.
Junior Brown, Long Beach: Brown ran for 130 yards and one touchdown in a 49-0 win over Bay High.
DJ McDonald, Long Beach: McDonald ran for 135 yards and two touchdowns. He also had two scoring tosses for the Bearcats.
Keelan Harper, Moss Point: Harper threw two touchdown passes in the Tigers’ 24-14 win over St. Stanislaus.
Solomon Baggett, Ocean Springs: Baggett scored two touchdowns on the ground in the Greyhounds’ 21-14 win over Pascagoula.
Xavier Dennis, Picayune: Dennis rushed for two touchdowns during a 23-14 win over Biloxi.
Titus Feaster, Pearl River Central: Feaster threw four touchdown passes in a 50-21 win over East Central.
John Feaster Jr, Pearl River Central: Feaster Jr caught three touchdowns for the Blue Devils.
Ty Keys, Poplarville: Keys erupted for 506 yards rushing and eight touchdowns. He came just 37 yards shy of the state yardage record and tied the touchdown record.
Seth Crockett, St. Martin: Crockett completed the hat trick with three rushing touchdowns in a 21-3 win over Stone.
Fisher Smith, St. Stanislaus: Smith intercepted two passes and recovered a fumble in the loss to Moss Point. One of his interceptions he returned 23 yards for a score.
Kyle Capers, Vancleave: Capers ran for 113 yards and three touchdowns in the Bulldogs’ loss to Forrest Co. AHS.
Aiden Hall, Vancleave: Hall recorded 10 total tackles for the Bulldogs in the loss.
Michael Winborne, Vancleave: Winborne had six tackles, two stops for loss, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
Jordan Stapleton, West Harrison: Stapleton ran for 224 yards and scored three first half touchdowns and was named homecoming king during a 47-17 stomping of Gautier.
Sean Fairley, West Harrison: Fairley ran for 106 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries.
Austin McInnis, West Harrison: The junior rushed for 188 yards and two touchdowns on just 11 attempts.
