Best of Week 2: Pass Christian’s high-octane offense one of Coast’s top stories
Here are the top performers from week two.
Que Victor, Bay High: Victor ran for 96 yards and a touchdown in the Tigers’ 20-14 loss to St. Stanislaus. Victor also returned a kick 90 yards for a score.
Dylan Dixson, Biloxi: The power back scored two rushing touchdowns to help lift the Indians over Pascagoula, 21-18.
Roman Green, D’Iberville: Green made six stops, one sack and returned a fumble 73 yards for a touchdown in a 42-17 win over Gautier.
KJ Washington, D’Iberville: Washington terrorized Gautier’s backfield with 4.5 sacks in seven tackles.
Josh Johnson, D’Iberville: Johnson recorded nine tackles, two tackles for loss, one interception and one forced fumble.
Zahkarri McGlothin, Harrison Central: McGlothin ran 19 times and ate up 192 yards, finding the end zone twice in a 31-14 win over Hancock.
Richie Ashley, Harrison Central: Ashley was on the receiving end of five passes and turned them into 92 total yards.
Solomon Baggett, Ocean Springs: Baggett ran for two first half touchdowns in the Greyhounds 27-17 win over Petal.
Brody Saenz, Ocean Springs: Saenz made 12 tackles on defense and recovered a fumble for the Greyhounds.
Paris Trivillion, Pass Christian: Trivillion threw for 294 yards and four touchdowns in a 47-14 win over Purvis. He also added 75 rushing yards.
Dwight Thomas, Pass Christian: Thomas caught six passes for 128 yards and three touchdowns for the Pirates.
Douglas White, Pass Christian: The junior running back totaled 101 all-purpose yards in the win.
Jayden Taylor, Pass Christian: Taylor made 17 stops including five tackles for loss and broke up a pair of passes for the Pirates.
Seth Crockett, St. Martin: Crockett completed 10 of 17 passes for 191 yards and two touchdowns. He added 88 yards on the ground with three rushing touchdowns.
Max Rhodes, St. Stanislaus: Rhodes scored two rushing touchdowns in the Rock-a-Chaws’ win over Bay High.
Fisher Smith, St. Stanislaus: Smith tallied 10 tackles and a sack for the Rocks.
Titus Feaster, Pearl River Central: Feaster rushed for two touchdowns in the Blue Devils’ 34-16 win over Pope John Paul II (La.).
Caden Hinton, Pearl River Central: Hinton contributed with his own two rushing touchdowns for the Blue Devils.
Jordan Hathorne, Picayune: Hathorne scored two touchdowns on the ground, including a 35-yard score in the second quarter during a 27-13 win at Northshore (La.).
Ty Keys, Poplarville: Keys ran for 142 yards and two touchdowns on 28 carries in the Hornets’ 22-21 win over Stone.
Parker Pearson, Poplarville: The senior made eight stops with two tackles for loss and one sack.
Kyle Capers, Vancleave: Capers scored two rushing touchdowns in a 30-27 overtime loss at Richland.
Aiden Hall, Vancleave: Hall added two rushing touchdowns of his own for the Bulldogs.
Jordan Stapleton, West Harrison: Stapleton scored three touchdowns in a 34-7 win over Forest, two on the ground and one receiving. He totaled 186 all-purpose yards.
Dezi Curley, West Harrison: Curley averaged 49.5 yards a punt through two boots. He added four PATs.
