Who was the MS Coast’s best high school baseball player in the 2025 season? Vote now

It was another exciting season on the Mississippi Coast.

George County claimed its second straight South State championship and East Central made an electric run to the semifinal round.

Both teams, and several more from the Coast, boasted some of the top athletes in the state. Now is your chance to choose the Fan’s Choice Player of the Year.

You can vote as many times as you like until polls close at noon on June 11. This is not a scientific poll, so refresh the page to vote more than once for your top athlete.

Get to know the nominees for the fan’s vote Sun Herald baseball player of the year here and vote below:

  • Shawn Gollott, Biloxi: The Indians’ ace struck out 51 batters in 56 innings while working a 2.62 ERA as a senior.
  • Carter Naron, D’Iberville: The junior produced on the mound and at the plate, picking up 35 hits and pitching 34.1 innings with 47 strikeouts and a 2.04 ERA.
  • Jaxon Cripps, East Central: Cripps batted .392 with 38 RBIs and 32 runs scored. He totaled 38 hits and had an OPS of 1.210.
  • Preston McAdory, George County: McAdory constructed a 1.41 ERA and the MAC All Star cut down 99 batters in 69.1 innings.
  • Wayne Ulrich, Long Beach: Ulrich had a team-best 33 hits with 29 RBIs while also tossing 61.2 innings of 2.50 ERA ball.
  • Jack Jordan, Ocean Springs: The ace dominated with 57 strikeouts in 67 innings with a 1.99 ERA. Jordan also tallied 33 hits with 10 extra base hits and 25 RBIs.
  • Cooper Moreaux, Picayune: Moreaux paced the Coast with 48 hits and 40 RBIs while putting together a 1.411 OPS.
  • Brock Sheppard, Poplarville: The senior led the Hornets with a 1.256 OPS behind 11 extra base hits out of 33 total.
  • Wiley Mossy, St. Stanislaus: Mossy led the Coast with 11 home runs. The junior made 24 of his 35 hits for extra bases and slugged .776 on the year.
  • Hunter Harper, Vancleave: One of the Coast’s top two-way talents, Harper had 39 hits and 37 RBIs from the plate and a strong 1.42 ERA with 53 strikeouts from the mound.
  • Reese Parker, West Harrison: The eighth grader’s first full varsity season was a head-turner. Parker picked up 37 hits, including eight doubles, five triples and two home runs.
