High school basketball in South Mississippi featured a deep list of up-and-coming stars, breakout players and established standouts.
Here’s a chance for fans to select a Player of the Year for the 2024-25 campaign with candidates coming from Bay High, Biloxi, D’Iberville, East Central, Pass Christian, Pascagoula, Christian Collegiate, Gulfport, St. Martin and Stone.
The Fan Vote winner of the poll will be recognized with the rest of the Sun Herald All-South Mississippi Team when published.
You have until noon on Tuesday, April 15 to vote in the poll, and you can vote as many times as you’d like at sunherald.com.

Get to know the nominees:
- Anthony Robinson, Bay High: Robinson was the Tigers’ top scorer, averaging 15.4 points and 6.8 rebounds a game.
- Alan Ayala, Biloxi: The sophomore led the Indians with 10.2 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game.
- Tahj Hill, Christian Collegiate: Hill put up 16.9 points with 8.7 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game as a junior.
- Juan Santiago, D’Iberville: Santiago scored 15 points a game for the Warriors with five assists, three rebounds and two steals a game.
- AJ Hopkins, East Central: Hopkins was one of the top scorers on the Coast, averaging 20.4 points a game with 4.9 rebounds.
- Morris Robertson, Gulfport: Robertson helped lead a rejuvenated program back to the playoffs with 13 points and 6.6 rebounds per game.
- Kelan Rich, Pascagoula: The Pearl River C.C. commit and Second Team All State pick scored at a 15.7 points per game clip and added 4.1 rebounds, 2.5 steals and four assists a game.
- Landon Hall, Pass Christian: The junior enjoyed a breakout year, scoring 19 points and 6 rebounds per game.
- Jaxon Walker, St. Martin: Walker knocked down 51 three-pointers while averaging 11.7 points, 4.3 assists and 2.2 steals per game.
- Jhase Jackson, Stone: The senior led the Tomcats with 15.1 points a game and 2.7 rebounds with 2.3 steals a game.
