Mississippi Coast athletes who shined on the court are nominated this week from Biloxi, D’Iberville, Moss Point, Resurrection and St. Martin.
This is not a scientific poll, and you can vote as many times as you’d like until voting ends at noon Monday, Jan.13, at sunherald.com.

- Jayla Carriere, Biloxi girls basketball: Carriere scored a team-high 17 points in a win against Oak Grove.
- Juan Santiago, D’Iberville boys basketball: Santiago scored 18 points in an upset win over No. 3-ranked Pascagoula.
- Jujuan Nettles, Moss Point boys basketball: Nettles is back in the poll after pouring in 18 points and grabbing five rebounds in a win over Poplarville.
- Judd Burlison, Resurrection boys basketball: Burlison dropped 20 points with three assists in a win against East Marion.
- Jaxon Walker, St. Martin boys baskeball: Martin stuffed the stat sheet with 12 points, eight assists, four rebounds and four steals in a win over Moss Point.
