It’s time again to vote for the athlete of the week.

Mississippi Coast athletes from the gridiron to the hardwood are nominated this week from Biloxi, Christian Collegiate, Gulfport, Ocean Springs, Pascagoula and West Harrison.

This is not a scientific poll, and you can vote as many times as you’d like until voting ends at noon Monday, Dec. 30, at sunherald.com.

Get to know the nominees here:

  • Zaniya Johnson, Biloxi girls basketball: Johnson averaged 20 points and 14 rebounds across wins against Hancock, Zachary (La.) and Madison Prep (La.).
  • Tahj Hill, Christian Collegiate boys basketball: Hill had 33 points and 11 rebounds in an 83-52 win over Lighthouse Baptist (Ala.).
  • Morris Robertson, Gulfport boys basketball: Robertson recorded 19 points, seven rebounds and three steals in a win over D’Iberville.
  • Maddox Noblitt, Ocean Springs boys basketball: Noblitt poured in 34 points in a win at Theodore (Ala.).
  • Silas Corder, Pascagoula football: The Southern Miss signee led all quarterbacks at the Bernard Blackwell All-Star game with 96 passing yards.
  • Emma Bunn, West Harrison girls soccer: Bunn scored the game-winning goal in a 1-0 win over George County.
