Who was the MS Coast’s best high school volleyball player during the 2024 season? Vote now

It is time to use your voice and vote for this year’s Sun Herald fan vote volleyball player of the year after a big season saw four teams represent the Mississippi Coast in state championships.

Our Lady Academy won its 17th state championship while Hancock, Ocean Springs and East Central all earned South State titles.

The winner of the poll will be recognized in the All-South Mississippi Volleyball Team.

You can vote as many times as you like until the poll closes at noon on Tuesday, Nov. 19. The poll is not scientific, and you can vote again by simply refreshing the page.

Get to know the nominees here:

  • Adelia Goff, East Central: Goff was named a Mississippi Association of Coaches All Star and helped lead her Hornets to the 5A state championship.
  • Aryana Dixon, George County: Dixon helped guide her Rebels to the South State championship and earned MAC All Star honors for her efforts.
  • Izzi Barnes, Gulfport: The senior’s career-high 433 kills, 42 aces and 183 blocks earned her 7A Miss Volleyball honors.
  • Cambria Necaise, Hancock: The three-sport athlete led the 6A South State champs with 328 digs, added 52 assists and recorded 33 serving aces.
  • Alyvia Gaughf, Harrison Central: The senior was selected as a MAC All Star after leading the Red Rebels to their first playoff appearance since 2015.
  • Lilly Rutland, Ocean Springs: Rutland the Greyhounds with 349 kills and in aces with 85. The junior was versatile, finishing second on the team in digs with 241.
  • Myah Favre, Our Lady Academy: The junior 3A Miss Volleyball winner led the Coast with a career-high 547 kills. Favre also recorded career-highs in aces and digs and her .563 hit percentage was the nation’s best.
  • Ava Drake, Vancleave: Drake led the Bulldogs with 389 assists and 60 serving aces. Drake is committed to East Central Community College.
  • Emma Bunn, West Harrison: Bunn had a breakout sophomore season, leading the Hurricanes in kills with 228 and in aces with 55.
