South MS football scoreboard: Week 11 finishes with MS Coast team winning playoff thriller
The playoffs are here for 1A through 4A while 5A through 7A schools finish out the regular season in Week 11 Thursday games.
Highlighting the slate was a showdown in Lucedale where five-star Auburn commit Deuce Knight and George County were blown out by three-star Southern Miss commit Silas Corder and Pascagoula.
All three 5A games carried significant weight, as well, as the region entered the night with three open postseason seats and nobody eliminated. The full standings and playoff outlook can be found at sunherald.com.
South Mississippi hosted one playoff game on Friday, a thriller that saw three touchdowns scored in the final two minutes. When all was said and done, Poplarville emerged with a 27-26 win over Mendenhall.
