This week’s football players are nominated from D’Iberville, East Central, Gautier, Ocean Springs, Pass Christian, Picayune and West Harrison.

This is not a scientific poll, and you can vote as many times as you’d like until voting ends at noon Friday, Nov. 8, at sunherald.com.

Get to know the nominees here:

  • Andre Cosby, D’Iberville: Crosby rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns and caught two passes for 72 yards in a 49-0 win over St. Martin.
  • Taye Guyton, East Central: Guyton ran for 255 yards and four touchdowns in a 28-26 rivalry win over Vancleave.
  • Brayden Jackson, Gautier: Jackson had seven tackles, two sacks, a forced fumble and a blocked punt in the 35-6 win over Stone.
  • Bryant Ausmer, Ocean Springs: Ausmer registered five tackles, three tackles for loss, one sack and a forced fumble in a 20-3 win over Gulfport.
  • Paris Trivillion, Pass Christian: Trivillion threw for 225 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for another 131 yards and two scores during a 49-35 win over Bay High.
  • Darrell Smith, Picayune: Smith had two rushing touchdowns on offense and six tackles, two tackles for loss and a pass deflection on defense in the win over George County.
  • Jordan Stapleton, West Harrison: Stapleton ran for 233 yards and two touchdowns in the loss to Pascagoula.
