Now is your chance to vote in our Athlete of the Week poll, following another Friday night of non-district play around the Coast. The full top performers list can be found here.

This week’s football players are nominated from Gautier, Gulfport, Pascagoula, Pass Christian, Stone, Vancleave and West Harrison.

This is not a scientific poll, and you can vote as many times as you’d like until voting ends at noon Friday, Sept. 27, at sunherald.com.

Get to know the nominees here:

  • Trey Irving, Gautier: Irving was responsible for five touchdowns, two through the air and three on the ground in a 48-33 win over Moss Point.
  • Cooper Crosby, Gulfport: Crosby ran for 243 yards and three touchdowns on just 10 carries in the 41-21 win over Picayune.

  • Amarie Jackson, Pascagoula: Jackson picked up 133 all-purpose yards and scored three touchdowns for the Panthers in the win over D’Iberville.

  • Jacquez Alexander-Dedeaux, Pass Christian: Alexander-Dedeaux ran for 164 yards and scored four rushing touchdowns in a 47-10 win over St. Stanislaus.

  • Jayden Collins, Stone: Collins had 51 receiving yards, a 69-yard rushing touchdown, seven tackles, one tackle for loss, one pass breakup and one interception in the win over the Yellow Jackets.

  • Hunter Harper, Vancleave: Harper ran for 134 yards in a 27-24 win over George County.

  • Jordan Stapleton, West Harrison: Stapleton rushed for 168 yards and a touchdown in a 55-0 win over Bay High. He also caught a 35-yard touchdown pass.
