3 100-yard rushers in same backfield highlight Week 2’s top high school performers list

Here are the top performers from around the Coast in Week 2.

  • Pax Wallace, Christian Collegiate: Wallace had 3 carries for 88 yards and a TD and a 2 point conversions in a 44-0 win over the Pinebelt Spartans
  • Andre Crosby, D’Iberville: Crosby rushed for 122 yards and a touchdown in a 33-12 win over Gautier.
  • Jayquan Havard, D’Iberville: Havard ran the ball 15 times for 97 yards for the Warriors.
  • Jeremiah Butler, D’Iberville: Butler picked up 82 rushing yards and a touchdown on just eight carries.
  • Jaden Johnson, D’Iberville: Johnson recorded six tackles, three tackles for loss and a 48-yard scoop-and-score.
  • Deuce Knight, George County: Knight threw for 317 yards and delivered five touchdown passes in the Rebels’ 51-36 win over Greene County.
  • Branden Gautier, George County: Gautier had two rushing touchdowns for the Rebels.
  • Montrell Dortch, George County: The senior caught three touchdown passes during the rivalry win.
  • Krisjeohn Burks, Gulfport: Burks caught four passes for 79 yards and three touchdowns in a 35-0 win against Vancleave.
  • Cooper Crosby, Gulfport: Crosby totaled 205 all purpose yards, 114 on the ground and 91 as a receiver.
  • Dane Sullivan, Gulfport: Sullivan threw for 260 yards and four touchdown passes for the Admirals.
  • Aidan Taylor, Hancock: Taylor had four tackles for loss, two sacks, a fumble recovery and a safety in the 16-6 win over Moss Point.
  • Rashad Foxworth, Long Beach: Foxworth had 11 tackles, one tackle for loss, one forced fumble and a pass breakup in a 21-9 loss to Forrest County Ag.
  • Brody Saenz, Ocean Springs: Saenz registered 11 tackles and two tackles for loss in a 35-21 loss to Oak Grove.
  • Paris Trivillion, Pass Christian: Trivillion threw for 150 yards and a score while rushing for another 41 yards and a touchdown in the 48-9 win over Purvis.
  • Jacquez Alexander-Dedeaux, Pass Christian: Alexander-Dedeaux scored five rushing touchdowns as part of a 122-yard night.
  • Qorday Russell, Pearl River Central: Russell threw for 146 yards and a touchdown and added 51 yards on the ground with four rushing scores in a 35-33 loss to South Jones.
  • Darrell Smith, Picayune: Smith rumbled for 220 yards and two touchdowns in the 35-0 win over Northshore (La.).
  • Jayden Curtis, St. Martin: Curtis picked up seven tackles, three tackles for loss and a sack in the 41-0 loss to Petal.
  • Andrew Whitney, St. Stanislaus: Whitney had 10 tackles, five tackles for loss and a forced fumble in the 27-0 win over Bay High.
  • Finn Williford, St. Stanislaus: Williford recorded nine tackles and returned a fumble for a touchdown.
  • Henry Nunmaker, St. Stanislaus: Nunmaker had six tackles, a forced fumble and an interception.
  • Jordan Stapleton, West Harrison: Stapleton ran for 197 yards and two touchdowns in the Hurricanes’ 35-18 win over Sumrall.
  • Trey Harris, West Harrison: Harris piled up 106 yards and a touchdown on just eight carries.
  • Sean Fairley, West Harrison: Fairley rushed for 126 yards on nine carries and reached the end zone twice.
