It’s time to vote for the Mississippi Coast Athlete of the Week for Jan. 22

We’re back to highlight some of the top performers each week and ask you to choose a winner in our latest Athlete of the Week poll.

Nominees this week are from Christian Collegiate, Harrison Central, Biloxi, West Harrison, St. Patrick, St. Martin and Pass Christian.

This is not a scientific poll, and you can vote as many times as you’d like until voting ends at noon on Jan. 29, at sunherald.com.

  • Matt Krass, St. Patrick boys basketball: Krass dropped 41 points with five assists in a 72-54 win over West Marion.
  • Miranda Parker, West Harrison girls basketball: Parker recorded her 15th career double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds in a win over Long Beach.
  • Dillon Woods, Christian Collegiate boys basketball: Woods scored 23 points for the Bulldogs in a 66-32 win over Amite School.
  • Anaisha Carriere, Harrison Central girls basketball: Carriere poured in 23 points in a 74-38 win over Gulfport.
  • Kai Vieira, St. Martin boys basketball: Vieira scored 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds in a 66-53 win over Gulfport.
  • LJ Jaynes, Pass Christian boys basketball: The senior guard scored his 1,000th career point in a win over Moss Point.
  • Zaniya Johnson, Biloxi girls basketball: Johnson scored 21 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and blocked five shots in a win over D’Iberville.
