It’s time to vote for the Mississippi Coast boys Athlete of the Week for December 25

Athletes across the Mississippi Coast are turning in big performances as we head toward the new year, and we’ll highlight several from the boys side here.

Nominees this week are from Pascagoula, Gulfport, West Harrison, Pearl River Central and Stone.

This is not a scientific poll, and you can vote as many times as you’d like until voting ends at 5 p.m. on Jan. 1, at sunherald.com.

  • Chris North, Pascagoula basketball: North had 20 points in a 70-59 win over Jackson Academy at the Ba$a Holiday Invitational.
  • Amir Abdul-Rauf, Gulfport basketball: Abdul-Rauf poured in 25 points for the Admirals in a 50-40 win over Picayune.
  • Owen Reese, West Harrison basketball: Reese scored 17 points in a 60-45 win over George County.
  • Ayden Porter, Pearl River Central soccer: Porter scored two goals and assisted on two more in a 4-1 win over Terry.
  • Jakobey Johnson, Stone basketball: Johnson scored 14 points in leading the Tomcats to a win over East Central.
