It’s time to vote for the Mississippi Coast football Athlete of the Week for November 13

Now is your chance to vote for athlete of the week following a big Friday night of playoff football around the Coast. The full top performers list can be found here.

This week’s nominees come from Gautier, Pass Christian, George County, Picayune, Poplarville, Resurrection and Ocean Springs.

This is not a scientific poll, and you can vote as many times as you’d like until voting ends at noon Friday, Nov. 17, at sunherald.com.

Get to know the nominees here:

  • Solomon Baggett, Gautier: Baggett ran for 209 yards and three touchdowns on 22 carries for the Gators in the win over Natchez.
  • Deuce Knight, George County: Knight completed 21 passes for 291 yards and two touchdowns in the 51-49 loss to Terry; he also ran for 86 yards and another score.

  • Lamar Vaxter, Ocean Springs: Vaxter recorded 15 tackles and three tackles for loss in a 35-23 loss to Meridian.

  • Jacquez Alexander-Dedeaux, Pass Christian: Alexander-Dedeaux ran for 136 yards and two touchdowns in the Pirates’ 27-7 win over Quitman.

  • Niquis Ratcliff, Picayune: Ratcliff rushed for three touchdowns in the Maroon Tide’s 42-0 win over Forest Hill.

  • Ty Keys, Poplarville: The freshman ran for 201 yards and scored four rushing touchdowns for the Hornets in a 45-15 win over Forrest County AHS.

  • Daniel Pickens, Resurrection: Pickens ran for 109 yards and three touchdowns, plus caught a touchdown pass in the Eagles’ 33-16 win over West Tallahatchie.
