It’s time to vote for the Mississippi Coast football Athlete of the Week for November 6

Now is your chance to vote for athlete of the week following another Friday night of district play around the Coast. The full top performers list can be found here.

This week’s football players are nominated from George County, Gulfport, Ocean Springs, Picayune, Poplarville, St. Stanislaus and Vancleave.

This is not a scientific poll, and you can vote as many times as you’d like until voting ends at noon Friday, Nov. 10, at sunherald.com.

Get to know the nominees here:

  • Deuce Knight, George County: Knight threw five touchdown passes in the 43-40 win over Pascagoula.

  • Nico Williams, Gulfport: Williams completed 18 passes for 324 yards and four touchdowns in the 49-7 win over Harrison Central. Also rushed for a score.

  • Kenderek Weathers, Ocean Springs: Weathers recorded six tackles, four tackles for loss, three quarterback hurries and an interception in a 41-0 win over St. Martin.

  • Niquis Ratcliff, Picayune: Ratcliff ran for 105 yards and two scores for the Maroon Tide, also had two pass deflections and an interception.

  • Aden Dedeaux, Poplarville: Dedeaux registered five tackles, two tackles for loss, a sack and a forced fumble in the Hornets’ 58-26 win over Lanier.

  • Ian Gonzalez Rioz, St. Stanislaus: Gonzalez Rioz ran for 207 yards and a touchdown, threw for 128 yards and a touchdown and returned a kick 72-yards for the game-winning score in a 23-20 playoff win over Crystal Springs.

  • Scottie Toothman, Vancleave: Toothman had 11 tackles, one interception, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
