It’s time to vote for the Mississippi Coast football Athlete of the Week for September 25
Week five of the high school football season is in the books and it was another great Friday night of action on the Mississippi Coast.
Now is your chance to vote for athlete of the week. The full top performers list can be found here.
This week’s football players are nominated from East Central, Gautier, Hancock, St. Martin, Ocean Springs, Pass Christian and West Harrison.
This is not a scientific poll, and you can vote as many times as you’d like until voting ends at noon on Friday, September 29, at www.sunherald.com.

Ben Myrick, East Central: Myrick rushed for 332 yards and seven touchdowns in the 63-42 over St. Martin.
Jeffrey Hopgood, Hancock: Hopgood had two rushing touchdowns on offense, 18 tackles and a sack on defense in the Hawks’ 35-14 win over Vancleave.
Bryhsen Smith, Ocean Springs: Smith caught eight passes for 131 yards and a touchdown in the win over Picayune.
Silas Corder, Pascagoula: Corder threw for 288 yards and three touchdowns in Pascagoula’s 27-7 win over Biloxi.
Jaquez Alexander-Dedeaux, Pass Christian: Alexander-Dedeaux ran for 214 yards and three touchdowns on 22 carries in the win over Northeast Jones.
- Logan Jeffreys, St. Martin: Jeffreys threw for 446 yards and six touchdowns for the Yellow Jackets in the loss to East Central.
Jordan Stapleton, West Harrison: Stapleton ran for 132 yards and two touchdowns in the Hurricanes’ 49-0 win over Moss Point.
