A Coast youth soccer team qualified for President’s Cup in Kansas

The South Mississippi Soccer Club 2009 Girls Premier Blue team has qualified to represent the Southern Region of the United States at the 2023 National President’s Cup in Kansas this month.

According to a GoFundMe page setup to help support the team’s trip, the club is the very first from the Mississippi Coast to reach the finals of the President’s Cup.

The team has competed this summer in Tupelo for the Association Premier Cup and in Greenville, South Carolina for the Southern President’s Cup.

The U-14 team is comprised of Coast athletes up to 14 years old.

The club needs $16,000 in total for the trip to Wichita and have set a goal to raise $5,000 with a little over half already funded at the time of this writing. The event is scheduled for July 6-11.
