High school basketball in South Mississippi produced another strong lot of highly talented girl’s athletes. Here’s your chance to vote for the best of the bunch.

Candidates for the Fan Vote Player of the Year come from Gulfport, Harrison Central, Moss Point, Bay High, Pass Christian, Ocean Springs, St. Patrick, Biloxi, Hancock and West Harrison.

The Fan Vote winner of the poll will be recognized along with the rest of the Sun Herald All-South Mississippi Team when it is published.

You have until noon on Friday, April 28 to vote in the poll and you can vote as much as you like.

  • Shaneal Corpuz, Biloxi: The All-State selection and William Carey signee averaged 20.5 points and 9.3 rebounds per game.
  • Anaisha Carriere, Harrison Central: Carriere led the Red Rebelettes to the Final Four with 14.2 points scored per game.
  • Kamaiyah Pruitt, Pass Christian: Pruitt scored 12.4 points and grabbed 7.8 rebounds per game for the Pirates.
  • Madison O’Dell, Gulfport: O’Dell led the Admirals with 19 points, two rebounds and two assists per game.
  • Taylor Hopgood, West Harrison: The senior averaged 10 points and 5.5 rebounds per game for the Hurricanes.
  • Kiara Burney, Bay High: Burney scored 8.8 points and hauled in 3.1 rebounds per game.
  • Jordyn Ford, Moss Point: Ford picked up 8.6 points per contest while averaging 4.2 rebounds and 1.2 steals a game.
  • Brooklyn Mitchell, St. Patrick: Mitchell averaged 17.5 points, 4.9 rebounds, 4.2 steals and 3.9 assists per game.
  • Brooklyn Cuevas, Hancock: Cuevas led the Lady Hawks with 14 points per contest.
  • Kaleah Lowery, Ocean Springs: Lowery averaged 11 points per game, five rebounds and two steals for the Greyhounds.
