It’s time to vote for Sun Herald’s MS Coast Athlete of the Week for April 17
The dust is settling on the regular season and schools across South Mississippi are gearing up for a playoff run to end the academic year.
This is not a scientific poll, and you can vote as many times as you’d like until voting ends at noon on Monday, April 24, at www.sunherald.com.
Get to know the Sun Herald Athlete of the Week nominees here:
- Walker Frederic, Resurrection baseball: Frederic had five hits in two games, including two triples and a double, with five RBIs and five runs.
- Hunter Parker, Vancleave baseball: Parker returns after pitching 10.1 innings without an earned run allowed. He struck out 12 batters over two games and picked up five RBIs at the plate.
- Otis Brooks, St. Patrick baseball: Brooks struck out 11 batters in four innings in a 16-1 win over Perry Central. Brooks also reached base three times and drove in a run.
- Karley Rouse, D’Iberville softball: Rouse had five hits over two games with three doubles, an RBI and a run scored. Rouse also struck out 10 batters from the circle.
- Reena Williams, Stone softball: Williams had three hits, a home run and three RBIs with two runs scored in a win over Pass Christian.
