Chase Carmody resigns as football coach at Pass Christian
Pass Christian will begin a search for a new head football coach.
Chase Carmody has officially resigned his post as the Pirates’ coach, the Sun Herald has learned.
Carmody said he has accepted an offer at another undisclosed job.
“My family and I have enjoyed our three years at Pass Christian.” Carmody said in a statement. “I have no doubt they will be successful going forward and we wish the players and coaches the best. It wasn’t an easy decision, but my family and I were offered a great opportunity that we couldn’t pass up.”
Carmody declined to comment on which job he’s taking until he’s been approved by the school board.
Carmody coached at Pass Christian for three years, amassing an 11-15 record. He led the Pirates to the playoffs in each of the last two seasons.
