It’s time to vote for Sun Herald’s MS Coast Athlete of the Week for January 23
A new Mississippi Coast Athlete of the Week poll is here. Basketball stars with big district performances are featured, as well as soccer athletes in key late-season matchups.
This is not a scientific poll, and you can vote as many times as you’d like until voting ends at noon on Monday, Jan. 30, at www.sunherald.com.
Get to know the Sun Herald Athlete of the Week nominees here:
- Natalie Davis, Christian Collegiate girl’s basketball: Davis scored 28 points in CCA’s 72-12 win over Lighthouse (Al).
- Kedrick Osby, Moss Point boy’s basketball: Osby dropped 32 points in the Tigers’ 58-43 win over Greene County.
- Eric Davis, St. Patrick boy’s basketball: Davis recorded a double-double in a win over St. Stanislaus, scoring 13 points and pulling down 17 rebounds.
- Micah Jones, Ocean Springs boy’s basketball: Jones scored 24 points in a critical upset win over Pascagoula that put the Greyhounds in first place in their district.
- Harper Batten, Pass Christian girl’s soccer: The eighth-grader scored three goals in a 9-0 win over Moss Point.
