It’s time to vote for Sun Herald’s MS Coast Athlete of the Week for November 21
All-sports polls are back for our Sun Herald Athlete of the Week polls.
We have high school stars from Gautier, Stone, Ocean Springs, Biloxi, West Harrison and St. Patrick on this week’s poll.
This is not a scientific poll, and you can vote as many times as you’d like until voting ends at noon on Friday, Nov. 25, at www.sunherald.com.
Get to know the Sun Herald Athlete of the Week nominees here:
- Bray Hubbard, Ocean Springs football: Hubbard rushed for 257 yards and three scores, plus threw a touchdown while leading the Greyhounds to a second-round playoff win over Oak Grove.
- Kaden Irving, Gautier football: Irving threw three touchdown passes and rushed for another in the playoff win over Vancleave that sends the Gators to their first-ever South State Championship game appearance.
- Chasden Collins, Stone football: Collins caught 12 passes for 194 yards and three touchdowns, including the game-winning score, in the Tomcats South State-propelling win over Poplarville.
- Anna Katherine Thriffily and Isabella Jordan, St. Patrick girls soccer: Our first double-entry, the freshmen pair scored three goals each to lead St. Patrick to a 7-0 win over D’Iberville.
- Shaneal Corpuz, Biloxi girls basketball: Corpuz committed to William Carey last week and followed up the big day with another, scoring 25 points and dishing out five assists against Picayune.
- Taylor Hopgood, West Harrison girls basketball: Hopgood scored 12 points, grabbed nine rebounds, picked up five assists, had four blocks and three steals in a stat-stuffing win over Stone.
