Top high school football performances from week 11 in South Mississippi

The playoffs and final week of the regular season saw heroes rise around the Coast. Check out the full scoreboard here.

These were the top performers from South Mississippi.

  • Gage Peterson, D’Iberville: Peterson completed five of eight passes for 90 yards and a touchdown, plus ran for another in a 31-28 win over St. Martin
  • Marcus Washington, D’Iberville: Washington ran for 115 yards and a score and caught two passes for 45 yards and a touchdown.
  • Izaiah Ladnier, D’Iberville: Ladnier had five tackles, two tackles for loss and a sack.
  • Grey Bradley, East Central: Bradley rushed for 244 yards and three touchdowns in a 28-21 win over Vancleave.
  • Kaden Irving, Gautier: Irving threw for 395 yards and five touchdowns in a 48-42 overtime loss to Picayune.
  • Dillon Alfred, Gautier: Alfred caught seven passes for 167 yards and three touchdowns.
  • Deuce Knight, George County: Knight completed 10 of 11 pass attempts for 263 yards and four touchdowns in a 63-20 win over Long Beach. Knight also ran for 182 yards and three touchdowns on only three carries.
  • Silas Corder, Pascagoula: Corder threw for 173 yards and two touchdowns, while adding another score on the ground in a 28-0 win over Hancock.
  • Jamonta Waller, Picayune: Waller had seven tackles, three sacks and five quarterback hurries in the win over Gautier.
  • Dante Dowdell, Picayune: Dowdell ran the ball 28 times for 178 yards and four touchdowns.
  • DK Jenkins, St. Martin: Jenkins threw for 206 yards and four scores while rushing for 96 yards in the loss to D’Iberville.
  • Preston Biggs, St. Martin: Biggs picked up tackles for the Yellow Jackets.
  • Chasden Collins, Stone: Collins had 166 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns in the 41-6 playoff win over Sumrall.
  • Connor Tice, Stone: Tice completed 11 passes for 141 yards and two scores while adding another touchdown on the ground.
  • Hudson Osborne, St. Stanislaus: Osborne threw for 166 yards and four touchdowns in the Rock-a-Chaws’ 45-14 win over Port Gibson.
  • Chandler Chapman, St. Stanislaus: Chapman rushed for 164 yards and a touchdown, caught a 35-yard touchdown pass and broke the single season school rushing record.
  • Bray Hubbard, Ocean Springs: Hubbard completed 13 of 16 pass attempts for 221 yards and two touchdowns in a 43-14 win over Harrison Central.
  • JP Coulter, Ocean Springs: Coulter had 127 all-purpose yards and a receiving touchdown.
  • Will Gray, Ocean Springs: Gray had 58 rushing yards and three scores on the ground while adding a 57-yard touchdown catch, plus a two-point conversion.
  • John Peterson, Vancleave: Peterson ran for 197 yards and a score in the loss to East Central.
  • Hunter Parker, Vancleave: Parker rushed for 105 yards and two touchdowns.
