It’s time to vote for Sun Herald’s MS Coast Athlete of the Week for October 24

Now is your chance to vote on which star will be named the athlete of the week following the eighth week of high school football on the Mississippi Coast.

We have high school football stars from D’Iberville, Biloxi, Gautier, Ocean Springs, Gulfport, St. Martin and Vancleave on this week’s poll.

This is not a scientific poll, and you can vote as many times as you’d like until voting ends at noon on Friday, Oct. 28, at www.sunherald.com.

Get to know the Sun Herald Athlete of the Week nominees here:

  • Marcus Washington, D’Iberville: Washington returned a kick 84 yards for a touchdown and recorded seven tackles, four tackles for a loss and three pass breakups in the 40-21 loss to Gulfport.
  • Duran Parish, Biloxi: Parish caught seven passes for 111 yards and a touchdown in the Indians’ 15-14 win over Pascagoula.
  • Kaden Irving, Gautier: Irving threw for 395 yards and six touchdowns while rushing for another two scores in the win over East Central.
  • Cameron Joseph, Gulfport: Joseph caught four passes for 106 yards and three touchdowns in the win over D’Iberville.
  • Bray Hubbard, Ocean Springs: Hubbard threw for 232 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for 121 yards and another score in the Greyhounds’ 49-24 win over St. Martin.
  • Noreel White, St. Martin: White had 108 rushing yards, 36 receiving yards, 55 passing yards and two rushing touchdowns to go along with four tackles and a pass breakup in the loss to Ocean Springs.
  • Kyle Capers, Vancleave: Capers had 15 tackles, two passes defended and an interception returned 58 yards.
