Top high school football performances from week 8 in South Mississippi

Week 8 is a wrap on the Coast and it is time once again to honor the top performers in South Mississippi.

  • Damaryion Fillmore, Biloxi: Fillmore ran for 96 yards and a touchdown in the Indians’ 42-22 win over St. Martin.
  • Duran Parish, Biloxi: Parish had 48 receiving yards and returned a punt 52 yards for a score.
  • Kevin Rogers, D’Iberville: Rogers ran for 92 yards and a 23-yard touchdown in the Warriors’ 24-17 loss to Hancock.
  • Marcus Washington, D’Iberville: Washington had five tackles, a tackle for loss and a forced fumble.
  • Grey Bradley, East Central: Bradley ran for 136 yards and two touchdowns in the Hornets’ 57-14 win over Long Beach.
  • Kaden Irving, Gautier: Irving threw for 344 yards and six touchdowns, plus ran for 111 yards and two touchdowns in the Gators’ 55-28 win over Vancleave.
  • AJ Phillips, Gautier: Phillips caught six passes for 129 yards and three touchdowns.
  • Deuce Knight, George County: Knight threw for 164 yards and two touchdowns, plus added a rushing score in the Rebels’ 35-0 win over Pearl River Central.
  • Toot Bentley, Gulfport: Bentley ran for 169 yards and two touchdowns in the Admirals’ win over Harrison Central.
  • Zach Gullung, Hancock: Gullung ran for 126 yards and three scores while adding 56 receiving yards in the Hawks’ win over D’Iberville.
  • Jacquez Alexander, Pass Christian: Alexander rushed for 144 yards and two touchdowns in the Pirates’ 24-17 win over Bay High.
  • Andrew Daniely, Pass Christian: Daniely recorded nine tackles and four tackles for loss.
  • Max Askew, Resurrection Catholic: Askew threw two touchdowns and ran for another in the Eagles’ 38-26 win over Richton.
  • Chris Davis, Picayune: Davis ran for four touchdowns on offense and intercepted two passes on defense in the Maroon Tide’s 55-0 win over West Harrison.
  • Amarion Tyson, Picayune: Tyson logged 12 tackles and two quarterback hurries.
  • Bray Hubbard, Ocean Springs: Hubbard threw for 215 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for another 107 yards and a score in the Greyhounds’ 37-0 win over Pascagoula.
  • Gavin Allen, St. Martin: Allen picked up 16 tackles in the loss to Biloxi.
  • Camron Ashley, St. Martin: Ashley had 10 tackles, a tackle for loss and a forced fumble.
  • Otis Brooks, St. Patrick: Brooks was responsible for 320 offensive yards, throwing three scores and rushing for three more in a 48-33 win over Westminster.
  • Thomas Salloum, St. Patrick: Salloum had 184 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns.
  • John Michael Moran, St. Patrick: Moran picked up nine tackles and a fumble recovery.
  • John Peterson, Vancleave: Peterson ran for 175 yards and three touchdowns in the Bulldogs’ loss to Gautier.
