Top high school football performances from week 7 in South Mississippi

Week 7 wrapped up Friday night, giving us another set of standout showing from some of the top football players in South Mississippi.

Check out this week’s list of top performers:

  • Andre Crosby, D’Iberville: Crosby ran for 75 yards and had 87 receiving yards. He scored two touchdowns in the Warriors’ 44-37 double-overtime win over Pascagoula.
  • Gage Peterson, D’Iberville: Peterson threw two touchdowns and ran for two more.
  • CJ Nelson, Gautier: Nelson had nine tackles and a fumble recovery in the Gators 48-19 win over West Harrison.
  • Dillon Alfred, Gautier: Alfred had three catches for 90 yards and a 77-yard kickoff return touchdown.
  • Kaden Irving, Gautier: Irving threw for 292 yards and three touchdowns while adding two more scores on the ground.
  • Deuce Knight, George County: Knight threw for 253 yards and a score while adding 109 rushing yards and two touchdowns on the ground in a 29-22 loss to Vancleave.
  • Montrell Dortch, George County: Dortch caught five passes for 104 yards.
  • Blaine Green, George County: Green had five tackles, two tackles for loss and an interception.
  • Toot Bentley, Gulfport: Bentley had eight carries for 83 yards and three touchdowns in the Admirals’ 41-6 win over Hancock.
  • Kristian Dillard, Gulfport: Dillard had two interceptions for the Admiral defense.
  • Jacob Palazzo, Gulfport: Palazzo completed 17 of 21 pass attempts for 246 yards and two scores.
  • Cameron Joseph, Gulfport: Joseph caught five passes for 95 yards.
  • Christian Turner, Harrison Central: Turner threw for 158 yards and ran for two touchdowns in the Red Rebels’ 28-14 win over St. Martin.
  • Jonah Armstrong, Harrison Central: Armstrong rushed for 102 yards and had 45 receiving yards.
  • Bray Hubbard, Ocean Springs: Hubbard threw for 215 yards and four touchdowns while rushing for 122 yards and another score in a 48-28 win over Biloxi.
  • Will Gray, Ocean Springs: Gray ran for 123 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries.
  • JP Coulter, Ocean Springs: Coulter caught six passes for 122 yards and two touchdowns.
  • Keshawn Thomas, Ocean Springs: Thomas had 12 tackles and five tackles for loss.
  • C.C. Herrien, Stone: Herrien had nine tackles, three tackles for loss and two sacks.
  • Otis Brooks, St. Patrick: Brooks ran for 164 yards and a touchdown while also throwing for 53 yards. Also had a pick six on defense in a 15-8 win over Sylva Bay.
  • Breton Descher, St. Patrick: Descher had 12 tackles, a tackle for loss and sack.
  • Ayden Le, St. Patrick: Le had seven stops, a tackle for loss, forced fumble and fumble recovery.
  • Micah McKay, Pass Christian: McKay had 12 tackles, one tackle for loss and a forced fumble in the Pirates’ 21-20 win over Moss Point.
  • Malik Cherry, Pass Christian: Cherry had six stops, a sack and an interception.
  • Darrell Smith, Picayune: Smith rushed for two touchdowns in the Maroon Tide’s 28-10 win over East Central.
  • Benny Jarvis, Poplarville: Jarvis scored three touchdowns, catching one and rushing for two, in the Hornets’ 47-18 win over Lawrence County.
  • John Peterson, Vancleave: Peterson ran for 281 yards and two scores in the Bulldogs’ win over George County.
