It’s time to vote for Sun Herald’s MS Coast Athlete of the Week for September 5
Now is your chance to vote on which star will be named the athlete of the week following the second week of high school football on the Coast.
We have stars from Biloxi, St. Patrick, Ocean Springs, The Bay, Pass Christian, Vancleave and East Central.
This is not a scientific poll, and you can vote as many times as you’d like until voting ends at noon on Friday, September 9, at www.sunherald.com.

- Jaylen Antoine, Bay High: Antoine scored five times in the Tigers’ 38-7 win over Sumrall. Rushing for two, catching two and returning a kick for another.
Took Norwood, Biloxi: Norwood ran the ball 11 times for 155 yards and a touchdown in Biloxi’s 20-10 win over Stone.
Eli Smith, East Central: Smith ran the ball 18 times for 164 yards and a score in the Hornets’ 31-6 win over Moss Point.
Trace Carter, Ocean Springs: Carter recorded 12 tackles and five tackles for loss.
Terry Patton, Pass Christian: Patton caught six passes for 107 yards and a touchdown in the Pirates’ overtime loss to Forrest County Ag.
Thomas Salloum, St. Patrick: The running back tallied 257 total yards of offense, 181 of them on the ground, and two touchdowns in the 42-0 win over St. Andrew’s.
John Peterson, Vancleave: Peterson ran for 260 yards and three touchdowns in Vancleave’s 20-19 comeback win over Hancock.
