Who was the Coast’s best high school softball player during the 2022 season? Vote now.
South Mississippi was again home to plenty of talented softball baseball players this season, seniors and underclassmen alike, and fans have an opportunity to vote for the top player of the 2022 season
The winner will be recognized with the upcoming publication of this year’s All-South Mississippi Team.
You can vote as many times as you like until the poll closes at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28. The poll is not scientific, and you can vote again by simply refreshing the page.

- Gracie Magee, George County : One of two sophomores to make the poll, Magee recorded 42 hits and 33 RBIs while also striking out 91 batters from the circle.
- Bree Phillips, East Central: The other sophomore on the list, Phillips emerged as one of the strongest young hitters on the Coast with 47 hits, 7 home runs and 16 doubles.
- Bryn Daughtry, Vancleave: The senior leaves VHS with over 100 career hits after a 43-hit campaign that drove in 35 runners. She also struckout a South Mississippi-high 193 batters from the circle.
- Brooklynn Montana, Gulfport: Montana picked up 39 hits, 13 doubles, 8 home runs and a Coast-high 40 RBIs.
- Jada McCalebb, West Harrison: McCalebb registered 23 RBIs on 28 hits in her junior season.
- Lauren Parker, St. Martin: Parker picked up 41 hits at the plate and pitched a 2.83 ERA in the circle with 45 strikeouts.
- Izzy Martin, Pearl River Central: Martin led the Coast with 10 home runs in her junior season and picked up 34 RBIs.
- Teegan DeWitt, Hancock: The only freshman in the poll, DeWitt had 21 hits and 20 RBIs while also dominating as a pitcher with 196 strikeouts and a 1.07 ERA.
- Bella Crawley, Ocean Springs: Crawley shined in the circle, striking out 132 batters and recording a 1.71 ERA.
- Karley Rouse, D’Iberville: Rouse struck out 119 batters and had a 2.11 ERA as a pitcher while also adding 23 hits and 21 RBIs as a batter.
