Now that the 2022 spring semester is coming to a close, it’s time to vote on the top athlete of the spring seasons in South Mississippi.

Athletes from Long Beach, Ocean Springs, Harrison Central, St. Stanislaus, Gautier, St. Patrick, Stone and Resurrection are on the list.

You can vote as many times as you like and the poll closes on Tuesday, May 31, at 5 p.m.

This poll is not scientific. To vote more than once, simply refresh the story page.

Get to know the athletes here:

  • Keegan Leverett, St. Stanislaus track and field: The track star won three individual 3A state titles and set two state records at state meets.
  • Vincenzo Jeanfreau, Long Beach soccer: Jeanfreau earned Sun Herald Player of the Year honors after leading Long Beach to a 5A state championship.
  • Nick Krass, St. Patrick basketball: Krass averaged 23 points per game on his way to winning Sun Herald Player of the Year on the hardwood. He recently signed with Oregon State.
  • Sam Murray, Harrison Central basketball: Murray scored 17.9 points per game for the Red Rebels and recently signed with Murray State.
  • Gehrig Conard, Stone baseball: The senior hit .361 at the plate while dominating the mound with a 0.66 ERA. Conard is heading to South Alabama.
  • Kaden Irving, Gautier baseball: Irving had an electric junior year in the batter’s box, hitting .481 with eight home runs.
  • Bray Hubbard, Ocean Springs baseball: Hubbard had his best season as a full time starter, batting .378 with 18 extra base hits.
  • Joe Scarborough, Resurrection baseball: Scarborough has picked up 43 hits and 45 RBIs while also pitching 0.58 baseball.
