District tournaments were in full force last week as the Coast’s best teams and athletes battled for playoff positioning.
These high school boys and girls players stood out among the rest during the week and are up for Athlete of the Week.
Get to know them:
- Blake Hart, Biloxi boys: Blake scored a career-high 33 points in the district championship game against Gulfport.
- Taylor Hopgood, West Harrison girls: Taylor scored 17 points, 11 rebounds, 4 steals and 2 blocks against Long Beach.
- Maddox Noblitt, Ocean Springs boys: Maddox 15 points and three blocks in a win over St. Martin.
- Kedrick Osby, Moss Point boys: Kedrick scored 18 points against Stone High.
- Shaneal Corpuz, Biloxi girls: Shaneal scored 20 points, grabbed 14 rebounds and blocked 4 shots against Gulfport.
