Christian Collegiate star Nathan Patrick wins Player of the Week
Christian Collegiate Academy star Nathan Patrick takes home Sun Herald Player of the Week honors for the week beginning Jan. 10 following a pair of 20-point outings and a strong showing in the poll.
The voting came down to a race between Patrick and Ocean Springs forward Avery Carter, but it was Patrick who edged the Greyhound.
Patrick received just over 20,000 votes for 44% of the more than 46,000 votes cast. Carter nabbed just under 20,000 for 40%.
For good measure, Patrick lit up Amite School Center with 40 points while the poll was open. He’s averaging 15.6 points and 4.8 rebounds per game this season.
