Here’s who made the cut for this inaugural Mississippi Coast soccer all-star game

For the first time, South Mississippi will have its own all-star soccer competition this year. Organizers for the Mississippi Coast Soccer All-Star Game previously announced they will host girls and boys games Feb. 26 at Ocean Springs’ Greyhound Stadium beginning at 6 p.m.

The rosters for the East-vs-West games were announced Monday morning.

Playing for the West’s girls squad are: Bay’s Marion Pohl, Forrest County’s Keona Crowell, Gulfport’s Julia Penny, Britton Simpson and Madeline Wadsworth, Hancock’s Alyssa Palisi and Olivia Palisi, Harrison Central’s Alyssa Stoner, Long Beach’s Alexa Beets, Sydney Spartaro and Susie Stevison, Our Lady Academy’s Emilie Martin, Paige Palazzo and Aubrey Wawrek, Pass Christian’s Cassidy Couch and Madison Lafontaine, Stone’s Haley Cobb and Brianna Lee, and West Harrison’s Marley Sims and Sydney Sims.

The East’s girls roster includes: Biloxi’s Quiava Lampley, Kate Powell and Ryan Smith, D’Iberville’s Sierra Mcleod, East Central’s Becca Havens, Gautier’s Brendaisha Garrett and Emily Riley, George County’s Olivia Simpson, Skyler Steede and Brooke Tanner, Greene County’s Chloe Strickland, Ocean Springs’ Kaylee Foster, Kelsay Himel and Emma Hunt, Pascagoula’s Karah Vance, Resurrection’s Emma Godfrey, St. Martin’s Tara Bradley, Jaden Parker and Maddie Powell, and Vancleave’s Sydney Salter.

The West boys squad is comprised of: Bay’s John Bowman, Forrest County’s Nick Gory, Gulfport’s Ashton Leblanc, Lucas Ragula and Gavin Taylor, Hancock’s Dustin Cuevas and Cooper Grafe, Long Beach’s Carson Favre, Dylan Picchi and Kai VanCourt, Pass Christian’s Hayden Brett and Jeremiah Trest, Pearl River Central’s Kyle VanMarcke, Picayune’s Cody Butler, Poplarville’s Tres Ray, St. Stanislaus’ Charlie DeMetz, Brandon Elkins and Beau Rimmer, Stone’s Peyton Phillips and West Harrison’s Joseph Anderson.

The East’s boys roster includes: Biloxi’s Allesandro Doria and Allwayne Whittaker, D’Iberville’s Victor Gomez and Ean Sherman, East Central’s Branson Davis, Gautier’s Peyton Pound and Drew Taylor, George County’s Jordan Cochran, Drew Davis and Justis Casey, Moss Point’s Tyler Graham, Ocean Springs’ Caleb Burke, Mike Jimenez and Blaine Zuber, Pascagoula’s Kevin Madrid, Resurrection’s Andrew Holland and Laykin Simkins, St. Patrick’s Ryan Adderholt and Chad Hudson, and St. Martin’s Dante Dismuke.

Freshmen through seniors were eligible for the games.

The Coast Soccer Poll Facebook account announced Jan. 29 that the coaching staffs for the two games will be from William Carey. Danny Owens and Ryan Weird will handle the girls game, with Barry Farrell and Ross Brooks leading the boys game.
