Prep roundup: Soccer hat trick and basketball upset highlight Thursday night action
Aubrie Edwards lifted Biloxi’s girls soccer team to a big 5-1 win Thursday thanks to netting four goals. Katie Gill added a fifth goal for BHS (12-4-1).
Biloxi 1, Hancock 0: Alwayne Whittaker scored the game’s lone goal for the Indians (12-4-3) off an assist from Kevin Morales.
Basketball
Hancock girls 47, Harrison Central 38: Madison Ladner and K.K. Randall scored 13 points apiece to lift Hancock (16-5) past HCHS. The victory avenged a 46-38 defeat on Jan. 2.
Harrison Central 69, Hancock 43: Dajon Whitworth and Dayquan Perkins each scored 12 points apiece to lead the Red Rebels. Nikko Pittman-Perry added 10 points for HCHS.
