Prep roundup: Biancamano wins one-mile event at LSU track meet
Long Beach High standout track standout Brooklyn Biancamano captured the 1-mile run individual championship at the L.S.U. Indoor Track & Field Meet held at Cal Maddox Indoor Track & Field Facility on Saturday. Biancamano finished the 1-mile race in a state indoor leading time for that event. Runners from six southern U.S. states competed in the meet.
Vancleave girls 6, Greene County 1: Chelsea Morton and Sydney Salter each scored twice as Vancleave beat Greene County. Miranda Hines and Belle Keebler each scored for the Lady Bulldogs (12-5, 3-1 Region 7-4A.
George County girls 2, Hancock 0: Olivia Simpson scored on two penalty kicks at the I-10/I-20 Soccer Blast Tournament. Skyler Steede earned the shutout for the Lady Rebels (13-3-1).
