Prep Roundup: Gulfport girls pound Davidson
Jerkia McInnis scored 21 points as Gulfport beat Davidson 63-30 in the Biloxi Lady Indians Tournament on Friday. Whitney Johnson and Dywana Parker each scored 14 for the Lady Admirals (9-5). Johnson was named All Tournament.
McGill Toolen girls 26, Biloxi 21: Shylia McGee scored 12 points as the Lady Indians’ eight-game winning streak was snapped. Biloxi fell to 11-6.
West Jones 68, Harrison Central girls 64: The Red Rebelettes fell at the West Jones Tournament.
St. Martin wins two: Daphane White scored 30 points and grabbed 20 rebounds as the Lady Jackets beat Lawrence County 51-43 at the Bay High Christmas Tournament. In a 57-51 win over Ingomar, White scored 22 points and grabbed 15 rebounds. Octaviunna Oatis added 15.
Christian Collegiate Academy drops two: CCA went 0-2 at the Sacred Heart Tournament. CCA lost to Sacred Heart 55-15 and Natchez Cathedral 82-47 despite 22 points from Michael Fitzpatrick.
