Daphane White’s gaudy numbers at St. Martin earn Sun Herald honor
Thanks to her incredible numbers in a win over Pass Christian, St. Martin senior center Daphane White is the Sun Herald Girls Player of the Week.
After scoring just 8 points in a 68-33 win Bay High on Dec. 12, White responded with 69 points, 19 rebounds and seven blocks in a 92-69 victory over Pass Christian on Friday.
The 6-foot-3 White has already signed with Mississippi State. The reigning Sun Herald Girls Player is averaging 26.8, points 13 rebounds and 6 blocks a game this season.
In its next game, St. Martin (10-3) will travel to face Gautier for a Tuesday night contest.
