Coast well represented in latest MAC all-star games

Sixteen players and two coaches will represent the Coast in the upcoming Mississippi Association of Coaches all-star soccer games.

Ocean Springs, Long Beach and Gautier each landed two players on the girls’ South team. OSHS will be represented by Emma Hunt and Kelsay Himel, with Maddie Beets and Alexis Wilson representing LBHS. Gautier landed Emily Riley and Claire Hults on the team. St. Martin’s Maddie Powell and George County’s Olivia Simpson also made the team, which will be coached by Gautier’s Cooper Kimbrell and Tori Ewert.

The Greyhounds and Gulfport each landed two players on the boys’ team, with Christopher Bruni and Eli Cupp representing Gulfport and Mike Jimenez and Caleb Burk representing OSHS.

Biloxi’s Fabrezio Doria, Resurrection’s Andrew Holland, George County’s Johnny Lorenzo and St. Stanislaus’ Beau Rimmer will also play in the game.

The games will be played at Clinton High on Feb. 17. The girls game is scheduled to kickoff at 12:30 p.m., with the boys playing at 2:30 p.m.
