Stone High junior lands Sun Herald defensive honor
Linebacker/running back Trey Arrington delivered when Stone High needed him the most.
The junior earned Sun Herald’s defensive player of the week honors after leading the Tomcats to a 48-40 win over Long Beach on Friday night.
He made 16 total tackles and a fumble recovery that led to a Tomcats’ touchdown. Offensively, Arrington had 151 yards rushing and scored four touchdowns on eight carries.
Stone High will play at West Jones in a first-round 4A playoff contest next week.
