Archbishop Rummel shuts out Gulfport in New Orleans
The Gulfport football team dropped its record to 1-2 in a 31-0 loss to Archbishop Rummel Saturday night at Tad Gormley Stadium in New Orleans.
Rummel picked off Gulfport three times and forced a fumble an a possible early Gulfport touchdown, according to a report by The New Orleans Advocate.
Rummel quarterback Chandler Fields was 18-of-29 passing for 228 yards and two touchdowns.
Senior Jaquan Foster led Gulfport with seven tackles.
The game was the second contest of a doubleheader at Tad Gormley Stadium. Petal won the first game 40-14 over Brother Martin.
