Prep roundup: Ocean Springs picks up big win over Oak Grove

Ocean Springs’ volleyball team picked up a big win Tuesday, knocking off perennial power Oak Grove 3-1 (25-27, 25-16, 25-19, 25-22).

Kennedy Bahr and Amelia Moore helped set the defensive tone with 14 and 13 digs respectively. Moore also led OSHS (6-3) with 14 kills. Allison Carpenter and Peyton Emperley sparked the attack with 17 and 10 assists each.

Gulfport def. Pass Christian 3-0 (25-8, 25-17, 25-15): Dywana Parker led GHS with 10 kills. Jayden Bishop added five kills while Aley Woodberry and Maranda Cowan each tallied four.

Other scores: Vancleave def. Resurrection 3-0 (25-18, 26-24, 25-15); Biloxi def. St. Martin 3-2 (12-25, 23-25, 25-11, 25-20, 15-6).

Slow-pitch softball

D’Iberville 3, Biloxi 1: Taylor White led Biloxi with two hits and Savanna Shoemaker drove in the lone run for the Lady Indians (1-2, 0-1).
