St. Martin overcome a significant weather delay to take down Forest Hill 31-6 Friday night in the season opener.

Junior quarterback Mileon Graham ran for touchdowns of 10 and 15 yards to lead the Yellow Jackets on offense.

Junior running back Ham McGee tacked on a 40-yard touchdown and junior quarterback Jake Galle added a 5-yard scoring run for St. Martin (1-0).

"It was a late night, but it's a good night when you come up with the win," St. Martin coach Eddie Wayne Whitehead said.

Senior kicker Sean Gomez also contributed a 31-yard field goal and converted on all four extra points.

Galle and Graham both saw significant time at quarterback for St. Martin.

"It played out pretty good," Whitehead said of his quarterback rotation. "They both split snaps about 50 percent each. There were tough conditions so we ran it a whole lot. Both showed positive signs."

Junior defensive back Nick Ross was the standout on defense for the Yellow Jackets with a pair of interceptions.

"I thought the defense played pretty well," Whitehead said. "We put a lot of pressure on them. We got to the quarterback and created four turnovers. We made big things happen."

St. Martin will host Tylertown next week.
