Bay’s Galen Smith Jr. makes it official

One of the Coast’s biggest basketball recruits is officially off the market.

Bay High’s Galen Smith Jr. recently signed with Xavier. Smith, at 6-foot-7, and his brother Galen “Tolu” Smith III, at 6-foot-9, formed one of the tallest interiors in the state.

As a senior, Galen Smith averaged 9.9 points and 8.4 rebounds per game while helping lead the Tigers to a 25-6 overall record.
