Meet the Sun Herald Boys Player of the Week

Vancleave’s Bailee Hendon had a flawless performance on Tuesday, earning him Sun Herald Boys Player of the Week honors.

Hendon threw a perfect game in a 5-0 win over Moss Point, striking out eight in the seven-inning game. He also helped his cause at the plate with two hits.

Hendon, a junior, is 2-3 with a 2.13 ERA in five appearances this season. He is batting .404 with seven toudlbes, a triple and 16 RBIs.

Vancleave (10-5) travels to St. Stanislaus at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
